Mark Bull joins 59club as Regional Manager for the South of England with over 12 years’ experience working in the golf industry. Alan Tait has been appointed Regional Manager for Scotland and the North, following 20 years served in golf managerial roles. Another recruit, Bruce Porter, brings a wealth of experience from the private member sector and will head up Wales and the South West territories.  

 

Tom Lynch’s new appointment within 59club HQ, follows an impressive track record gained at group owned Golf Resort’s. Sally Bull also joins the fold, further enriching the Spa & Leisure side of 59clubs benchmarking products & services, after 10 years as Spa Training & Business Development Manager in the UAE.  

 

Mark, Alan and Tom have all utilised 59club’s services during their managerial tenures at the likes of; Celtic Manor; Marriott; De Vere and Macdonald Hotels & Resorts. Between them, they boast an array of industry accolades, which honoured their outstanding achievements in the 59club Service Excellence Awards Ceremony.  

 

59club is built on the reputation and experience of its team, each who master in golf, leisure or spa operations. Simon Wordsworth, a Fellow of the PGA, founded 59club following a very successful career that spanned over 16 years running The Belfry’s golf department.  

 

Prior to his 59club Directorship, and following 10 years served with Simon, Mark Reed successfully opened and managed Machynys Golf Club & Spa. During this period, Mark employed 59club to measure and advance the golf sales and operational procedures, which under his direction, saw the service levels rival that of the highest profile clubs in golf.  

 

When Matt Roberts & Andy Etherington joined Simon and Mark some 8 years ago, as fellow Directors, it saw the Belfry management team reunited, with a shared vision and passion to drive sales & service levels within the wider golf industry. Matt & Andy also utilised 59club services whilst serving as golf operation managers within the De Vere Group, and successfully increased retail sales plus the overall golf visitor experience service levels to an all-time award-winning industry high.  

 

The 5 new appointments further strengthen 59club’s unique entity which has enabled them to develop cutting edge sales & service performance management tools and training services. Their effect is being felt across the globe. Its products and services are utilised by governing bodies, PGA training schools, leading buying groups, group owned venues, golf resorts, private member clubs and golf academies across the UK, Europe, UAE & Asia as part of their starting promise to assist the golf, leisure & spa industry to advance.
