Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I get paid to be a mystery tester?
No, this is a voluntary role. However, we cover all on-site expenses for your visit, such as green fees, meals, spa use, or overnight stays where relevant.
2. Who can take part? Do I need to be a good golfer or have experience?
Anyone who is observant, reliable, and passionate about good service can take part.
Golfers should be able to play a full round confidently and know their way around a golf setting.
3. Can I bring someone with me?
Usually, yes!
For golf visits: you can bring up to 3 playing partners (sometimes 2, depending on the club).
For hotel, dining, or simulator visits: we cover on-site expenses for 2 people.
4. How often can I take part?
As often as your schedule allows, there’s no minimum or maximum. Some testers do one or two visits a year, others do several a month.
5. How do I get selected for a visit?
You’ll receive updates about available visits. Just let us know what suits you, and we’ll do our best to match testers with relevant venues.
6. What do I need to complete a report?
Just a smartphone or laptop, and your honest feedback. You’ll get full training before your first test, and reports are submitted online via our portal or app.
7. Do the venues know they’re being tested?
Yes, but they won’t know who you are, or when you’re coming.
8. Can I test outside my home country?
We usually assign venues close to your location, but cross-border visits may be possible depending on availability.
9. What kind of feedback are you looking for?
Honest, specific observations about your experience, both positive and constructive. We provide a clear structure to guide you through the process.
10. What happens after I sign up?
First step is an orientation call with someone on our team, Ryan, Guillaume or Paddy. Then a trial test at your home club which we’ll use to discuss the process in more detail and once we’re happy you’re free to go and test.
