Pairing Ambition with need

The Global Internship Initiative solves two problems the Golf & Hospitality Industry face...

Managers

Finding Passionate Seasonal Staff

Each year, clubs struggle to source motivated and capable team members to support peak season operations. Poor recruitment leads to poor customer service.

Graduates

Creating pathways for future leaders

Aspiring managers and professionals often lack structured opportunities for international experience, leadership development, and mentorship.

Building Careers. Strengthening Teams.

The Global Internship Initiative connects ambitious graduates with leading golf and hospitality venues through a structured international internship experience designed to develop future industry leaders while supporting operational excellence.

Combining hands-on experience, global placements, leadership development, education, and industry-recognised certifications, the programme creates meaningful opportunities for graduates to accelerate their careers while helping venues attract motivated talent, strengthen teams, and build future leadership pipelines.

Over a structured three-year journey, participants gain real-world experience across diverse environments and cultures, while host venues benefit from fresh perspectives, seasonal support, and access to passionate emerging professionals.

Seasonal Opportunities with Long-Term Potential

Venues gain access to motivated, career-focused seasonal talent during peak periods, with opportunities for the graduate to develop future full-time employment through a trusted global network.

Career Pathways & Recruitment Opportunities

The programme creates clear pathways to employment, helping graduates transition into meaningful careers while enabling venues to identify, nurture and retain emerging talent.

Global Network & Mentorship

Participants and employers become part of a trusted international community of industry professionals, creating valuable connections, mentorship, and shared learning across markets.

Future-Focused Talent Development

By investing in ambitious young professionals, venues strengthen workforce engagement and succession planning, while graduates gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed to thrive.

A smarter way to grow

Candidates are placed at clubs during high season. During low seasons, they rotate to respected international clubs with opposing seasonal cycles.

Each club benefits from both returning “home club” candidates (familiar faces with new experiences) and rotating “away club” candidates (with new ideas and fresh perspectives).

Over the course of three years, this program equips future leaders with the international experience, professional training, and leadership development needed to make an immediate and lasting impact at your club, and the wider industry as they build their career in golf.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if a visa application is unsuccessful?

While visa applications are supported throughout the process, approval decisions ultimately sit outside everyone’s control. If a visa is unsuccessful, Global Talent Solutions works closely with both the candidate and host venue to identify alternative opportunities or suitable replacements, helping minimise disruption and keep career or operational plans moving forward.

Who is the main point of contact for this initiative?

For both Venue & Graduate inquiries, reach out directly to Sean Plunkett; sean@globaltalentsolutions.net

What can participants and venues expect during onboarding?

A successful placement starts with a strong welcome. Host venues are encouraged to engage with participants before arrival, provide a supportive onboarding experience, and help them settle into a new environment. This may include practical guidance around accommodation, local orientation, and workplace integration, ensuring candidates feel welcomed and supported from day one.

What are the Graduate requirements?

You need a degree (BSc/BA or equivalent) in a specialised degree program across golf, sports or hospitality, as well as an appetite to learn, travel and desire to work in the industry. You may be required to pass a basic medical check and have sufficient funds to qualify for visas.

What are the financial responsibilities?

The programme is designed to be transparent and regionally appropriate for everyone involved. Host venues are responsible for programme participation costs, visa support, medical coverage where required, and providing a competitive salary. Participants should expect to cover travel and day-to-day living expenses, although some venues may offer additional support or benefits depending on location and role.

What level of support can candidates expect?

Participants are treated as valued team members and supported throughout their placement with wellbeing, onboarding, and professional development in mind. The programme is designed to provide meaningful work experience, practical learning, and a supportive environment that encourages long-term career growth.

Can internships lead to long-term employment?

Yes. The programme is designed to create long-term career pathways while helping venues identify and nurture future talent. Many placements create opportunities for continued employment, future seasonal roles, or progression through the wider global network.

What if I’m not successful in my application?

At this time, this programme admits only a limited number of candidates in each intake, reflecting our commitment to personalized development and quality engagement. If you are not selected for the current cohort, we would be pleased to stay in touch and keep you informed about future opportunities. We encourage you to remain involved so that you can be considered for the upcoming cohort, ensuring you don’t miss your chance to participate.

What training can I expect to receive?

On top of structured certifications that guide you through your practical experience, you can expect to receive regular in-person training sessions per year with 59club regional managers based on their industry leading program, personalized leadership training that will develop your personal skills and create a structured career/self development plan, and personal mentorship from the industries best leaders.
